Why This Happens
Stripe terminates accounts for severe policy violations, confirmed prohibited business types, repeated unresolved compliance failures, or fraud. Termination is usually final — Stripe holds remaining funds for 90-120 days to cover potential chargebacks. Creating a new account after termination is detected and results in immediate closure.
Example Notification
"We can no longer support your business on Stripe. Your account has been closed and remaining funds will be held for 120 days. This decision is final."
